mandolin Holster

I'm usually inspired by a need. In this case, a protective holster for a high quality mandolin. Made of mixed woods and hand dovetailed, its chamber is open enough to shed moisture and the button feet keep it just off the surface of the counter for drying as well. Fasteners are all rust- proof brass. Its finger protector or food pusher also lives in the holster so it can always be found when the work gets dangerously thin!
