We turned a dreary, outdated kitchen with a popcorn ceiling into an open, inviting space by removing the dividing wall between kitchen and dining room, installing white cabinets and covering the old popcorn ceiling with beautiful interlocking tin. There is LED under-cabinet lighting over the sink and soapstone counter. The wide butcher block work area provides stool seating on the dining room side for hanging out and the outlets near the column have USB ports for charging devices. Open shelving and the white subway tile backsplashes add to a feeling of spaciousness.
